Two Great Songs

Two great songs from the 1980's are "Take This Job and Shove It" and "Working 9 to 5." Listen to, or read, the lyrics from these gems to understand the pure genius of the song writers.

No matter how many people I have asked about which song is his/her favorite, everyone says..."9 to5."

And I would have to agree.

Pick Some Apples

It's Fall!

For the last six years, as October approaches, I think of the weekend before my son Nick was born. We were living in Ithaca, New York and he was overdue. Rather than sit around staring at Kim's stomach, we went off to one of the most memorable days of my life with Kim and her parents.

If you're ever in Upstate NY, during the month of October make sure to carve out a full afternoon and head over to one of the myriad of apple farms for some picking and tasting. Most farms are "all you can eat" while you are there and you only pay for what you take away.

There are more varieties of apples than you ever knew...with more complex tastes than you ever knew.

While you're there make sure to catch one of the best college hockey teams in the nation. It makes for a fantastic weekend.

Go Big Red!

Good stuff!

It's been too long

Any time there's a lull in a conversation, or writing in a blog, it's always a good policy to get things rolling again with a fart joke or at least some information on passing gas.

It's been a long while since I have made an entry in this extremely popular blog, so I dug this up to get all of my readers back engaged with my prose. Read about gas and global warming all in one article. What more could you ask?
