Excitement

From my step-mom, Kristine:

Last Thursday Nick (my son who is 6) was working on a birthday card for Hazel (my daughter who is 1, turning 2). Having written out the greeting unaided, he showed it to me to check on the spelling. I told him it was perfect and asked him if he wanted to add some punctuation.

"What's punctuation?" he asked. I told him it was like commas and periods.

"Oh yes!" he exclaimed, "I'm going to add an excitement mark."

Says, Kristine: I think "excitement mark" will forever supplant the term "exclamation point" in my mind.

White versus Yellow

You fans of American Cheese should know something: there's no difference between white and yellow American Cheese in terms of taste. Really, none at all.

So the next time you're at your favorite Dairy Bell and they serve you up a white American Cheese sandwich - don't dispair! It will taste the same as the yellow American Cheese sandwich you're so used to.

Fact: 94% of Americans prefer yellow American cheese to white American Cheese (Cooking Channel, October 1, 2007).
