Hot for Teachers

My close friend Erik "Duisy" Duisenberg is involved with a pretty neat event which raises money for teachers who, in turn, use the donations to fund various learning experiences for their students.

Here's the description of DonorsChoose.org: "DonorsChoose is a simple way to provide students in need with resources that our public schools often lack. At this not-for-profit web site, teachers submit project proposals for materials or experiences their students need to learn. These ideas become classroom reality when concerned individuals, whom we call Citizen Philanthropists, choose projects to fund."

To raise awareness and, well, funds for DonorsChoose there's an event called Hot for Teachers which is going to be a great party at Club Mezzanine in San Francisco on the evening of October 3rd.
