Magnum is Still Relevant

I recently purchased and subscribed to Tivo - I immediately sign-up for a season pass for Magnum. Right now, I am multitasking – work and Magnum.

I am watching the one where Magnum is following some dame to see if she’s cheating on her husband…Thomas quickly finds out that the woman is cheating on her husband…but with Rick, Thomas' buddy and local club owner.

Rick finds out that Thomas was on the case and believes that Thomas ratted him out after the broad breaks off the affair. Rick confronts Thomas at the club with a right cross (upper cut, really, because Rick is so damn short EVERY punch he throws is an upper cut). Thomas has a cement jaw and barely moves his head…Rick kicks him out of the club for good!!!!

The amazing part of this whole episode is that this is but a subplot for the real focus of the story – Thomas’ investigation of a corporate spy inside a laser manufacturer in down town Honolulu. (Believable? YES!)

But even more amazing is that the whole time, Thomas is training Higgens so that he can lose some weight for an impending date with his ex-fiance.

Now, Thomas is speaking with his buddy in the Navy, Mack, about something important…he’s offering him $20/hour (not bad pay for 1984) for some help with some computer security (Foretran?) at the laser company.

The mysteries continue....

Did you know that Magnum P.I. is being adapted to the big screen? Tom Selleck is in the running to star, believe it or not . . .
