All Good Movies Are Just “Top Gun” In Disguise

It’s true you know - all good movies are Top Gun with different characters in a different setting. Let’s review:

Top Gun is a movie about a rebel, loner fighter pilot with a best friend/navigator who stands by his rebel buddy through thick and thin. They go to Miramar to become “Top Guns.” The supportive friend dies, then the rebel, main character guy feels guilty and has to come to terms with life on his own and finds he can actually stand on his own two feet and take on the world while shooting down some bad guys over some foreign sea. Tom Cruise gets the girl he’s been courting throughout the movie.

Aspen Extreme: Two buddies leave Detroit to conquer the world of Aspen. The good looking guy (Teej) is accepted in the skiing community while the dorky best friend (Dext) struggles along side the good looking fellow. The good looking fellow prostitutes himself to the richest woman in town, and Dext stands by him. Dext makes some bad mistakes with drugs, then dies in a skiing accident. Teej feels guilty because he should’ve checked the snow report, but still manages to win with Powder 8 with a new found friend. All is well and Teej stays in Aspen to get the girl, who he had screwed over earlier in the movie.

There’s more movies out there with this same solid, box office appeal. Do you have any in mind?
