The Oxford Project
This is one of those things you wish you had time to do. You wish you had the foresight to do.
Anyhow, this is really neat. In 1984, a man named Peter Feldstein set up a sign outside of a store on Main Street in Oxford, Iowa, which read, "Free Pictures." Oxford had just under 700 residents at the time and Feldstein took photos of nearly all of them.
In 2004 he went back and did it again, and this time he got their stories too.
Really interesting. Take some time and flip through the slide show on that link.
